RMail FAQ

The RMail FAQ is currently in the works. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns regarding our email service not covered below, please feel free to email the highpriest@relaxism.com

RMail - Frequently asked Questions

1) I can't seem to login. What's the problem?

Your name is case sensitive. So if you signed up as jOel@relaxism,
that's what you'll have to type to login and change your password.
However, your friends can type with any case to reach you, so you'll
receive mail that is for jOEL, Joel, or any other combination you
can think of.

2) What is the User Config for?

Well, it's if you plan to send to different people from this account. For
instance, if you're emailing your friends, you might decide to have one
signature and name tag, while if you're emailing your dentist you might
want to put your full name and a different signature file.

3) How do I change my password?

Try this link

4) Is RMail really secure?

Being secure in this case means that your passwords are encrypted while
you're logging in, as is all data that you send to the server.

5) Can I download my email to my home computer using my own mail client?

No, unfortunately you can't. As we are using a POP3 server, the
authentication wouldn't be encrypted without the SSL of the web
browser. So that would completely defeat the purpose of encrypting your
passwords in the first place.

6) How do I use the address book?

You have to either import or add names manually to your addressbook. After
that, when you compose a message, just click on the "To" part of the
composition. Your address book will come up.

7) Can I attach more than one file at a time?

Unfortunately, no. If you need to attach more than one file, I would
suggest zipping them up together.

8) The cancel button doesn't do anything when you're composing an email?

Well, actually it just clears the text box. To go back to your mailbox,
you have to hit the "Back to Mailbox" button on the top right. It confused
me for a minute too.

9) When I use the address book, it says it's insecure. I thought you said
it was secure?

A minor error on our part. The checkbox that you submit can be seen over
a local network, not the entire addressbook. But, hey, we tried our best.

10) I've forgotten my password. What do I do!

I would suggest remembering your password. If you can't do that, email
the High Priest (ironic isn't it?), and he will ask you a quiz question
about the status of your mail account, ie. the last time you logged in,
etc. and then restore your account.

11) Why don't you guys have a secret word or hint or something instead?

That would be pretty much the same as having another password wouldn't it?
And if it is something that you can't forget, then it's something that
someone else can probably guess pretty easily. Then you would have someone
else using your account...This is the price one must pay for having an
anonymous account.
